Will the Celtics still be good this up-coming season?

Will the Celtics be good in the 2025–2026 season? Honestly, I’m not sure. I still think they’re absolutely a playoff team, but competing for a championship without Tatum feels like a long shot or does it? The NBA is unpredictable. Some teams are extremely bad, while others are loaded with talent. There’s not always a middle ground. So even without Tatum, I still see the Celtics finishing near the top of the league standings. But will they have enough to make a real run? That remains to be seen.

James Hagens drafted 7th Overall by the Bruins.

Friday night, the Bruins had their highest draft pick in years. I honestly can’t even remember where I was when the draft lottery happened, but I do remember seeing that they landed the seventh pick and I just started laughing out loud. The regular season was borderline comical, aside from a few bright spots. And let’s be real, the Bruins have had a terrible track record when it comes to drafting. Don’t even get me started on the 2015 draft. I still look back at that one when I need a good laugh.

About us

I’m a full-time worker, a husband, and a father of two and life never slows down. Growing up, everything revolved around Boston sports. But as time goes on, responsibilities stack up and priorities shift. I’m no less passionate, just a little more grounded. That’s why I proudly call myself an "average" fan, doing my best to keep up and stay connected.

Some of my earliest memories are walking into the FleetCenter for the first time, watching the old Boston Garden being torn down, or seeing Mo Vaughn launch one over the Green Monster before there were seats up there. The Celtics and Patriots came into focus for me a little later, maybe around age 11 or 12, but I was always glued to the TV or in the stands any chance I got.

This space is for honest, passionate, and respectful conversation about the teams we’ve loved through every high and heartbreak. Let’s talk sports, call it like we see it, and stay connected to the teams that continue to mean so much, even as life never stops moving.
